Daily Puja At Ramakrishna Mandir

Each day of Ashram begins at dawn in the spiritual ambience of shrine with the Mangalarati of Bhagaban Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa Deva.

Daily worship is performed later in the morning after vedic chanting.

Evening Arati starts after sunset. The monastic members, hostelite, devotees all assemble in the temple and sing Arartrik Bhajan, Sri Ramakrishna-Stottra and Devi-Pranam collectively with musical instruments. The Arati ends with reading from Kathamrita by a senior monk.


Ramnam Sankirtana and Religious Discourses

Prayer before The Holy Trio

On every Ekadashi Day, Ramanama Sankirtana is performed in the afternoon at 4:30 PM. One Hundred and Eight Namavali of Lord Sri Rama, Stuties of Sri Hanumana, and Bhajans are sung by the monastic disciples, hostelite and devotees.

Religious discourses are occasioned weekly, on every Sunday afternoon, mainly on the Gita, the Upanisada, the Srimad Bhagabatam and also on the life and teachings of Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi and Swami Vivekananda. Devotees from far and near come to Ashram to attend these programmes and listen to the Preacher intently to kindle their thirst for Spirituality.

Durga Puja at RKM Sahudangi

Observance of the birthdays of Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi, Swami Vivekananda & other religious luminaries, the Kalpataru Utsav, Sri Sri Durga Puja and Sri Sri Kali Puja are main festive occasions of the Ashram. The celebrations, especially the birthday of Sri Sri Thakur and Durga Puja, offer delightful opportunity to see a huge gathering of devotees, admirers and well-wishers from all over North Bengal paying obeisance to this pilgrimage.
